Terms of service

These terms govern purchases and use of VPS services offered by Igor Build LTD under the SonateHost brand at sonatehost.com. Questions about a purchase or these terms: support@sonatehost.com.

Orders and service scope

Your chosen product page and checkout identify the configuration, price, currency and billing period. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Keep your contact and billing details accurate. A payment receipt does not mean a server has already been provisioned; access details are supplied after payment and provisioning.

Service territory and legal restrictions

We do not supply services where doing so would breach applicable sanctions, export controls or other legal restrictions. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and may decline or suspend a prohibited service. These restrictions are separate from the selectable server location.

Accounts and access

Keep login credentials confidential and notify us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise, your software configuration, updates and the content you place on your server. Use the service only where you have the capacity and authority to enter the contract.

Billing and renewal

Simple VPS products cover one month and require a separate payment for renewal. Recurring charges apply only when the product and checkout explicitly identify a subscription. Review the next renewal date and cancellation controls in your account when a subscription is active. Contact us before changing an existing service to coordinate billing and migration.

Acceptable use and security

The Acceptable use policy forms part of these terms. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address non-payment, unlawful activity or an urgent security risk, subject to applicable law. Where practical, we will explain the issue and provide a way to contact us about it.

Data, maintenance and service changes

Maintain independent backups. The image, location, network settings and backup retention selected in the configurator form part of the order. Daily backups with 14-day retention are included when enabled. Extra retention is charged as shown before checkout. A numerical service-level commitment applies only where expressly agreed. Maintenance and technical issues may affect availability. We will communicate material changes affecting an active paid service as required by applicable law.

Liability and applicable law

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. For consumers, we remain responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in the courts available under applicable law.

Cancellation, refunds and consumer rights

See the Refund and cancellation policy. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Disputes and requests should first be sent to support@sonatehost.com with the order number and relevant facts; this does not prevent you from exercising legal remedies.
